Have you ever seen that friend who’s always been in shape?
Or the friend in your group who eats the most, but still remains really lean?
There’s one simple answer to this. It’s- portion size.
Your friend eats most of his meals in a stipulated quantity. That quantity is something that allows them to never go on board with their consumption.
For eg: How do you consume rice?
Answer 1: I just put and put, till the time I visually see that this much is enough. If I want more, I’ll add more.
Answer 2: I let my mom put the biggest scoop of rice she wants me to have.
Well, you see what’s wrong here? You’re unconsciously eating too much.
For most people, 1 cup of rice is sufficient. Anything above that means you’re eating more. The same goes for bread (2 slices), roti/chapati (2 at max), and vegetables (1 cup) per meal.
You can ignore, disagree and live in denial OR deeply think about this if you truly care for your health.
