Impulse control is a phenomenon which you’ve to develop.
Most likely, if you think in the next minute that you’ll start your diet plan on your own with the next meal - you’re likely to fail.
I’m back to being healthy today- I’m going to stop eating junk food, I’m going to run 10kms every day and I’m going to never go close to sugar again!
This will probably last 1 week at best and when you fail to meet your “expectations” (which are more often than not, unrealistic) you feel like a failure and go off track completely! You completely overlook your progress and then are trapped into a never-ending loop.
Think of it like this: I’m exploring new food items to alter my meal plans and lose weight over a period of time. I’ll try to stick with it as much as I can, perform light exercises that I enjoy doing, learning to balance my nutrition as life happens!
Remember: You’re on a weight loss vacation. The only thing you’ve to learn and develop is how to lose substantial weight. Enjoy it.
Make it a process you enjoy and you’re willing to put in the effort for, it doesn’t have to suck all the time!
